Uzza would like to introduce her 1st working titled kid - Fly earned her CD in November, 2011!

Uzza would like to congratulate her daughter Ruca and her owner, Tasha on obtaining Ruca's first titles!!  Ruca and Tasha earned Ruca's CARO Rally Novice title, her CGN and the first leg of her CKC Rally Novice title at the end of November 2011.  Great job!

We are pleased to present our pick from the Team ICE litter.  Uzza's sire is BISS/BIS Am./Can/Int'l. CH. Steinplatz Ageless Petra CD CGC ~ RCC Hall of Fame.  Her Dam is '10 CNSS Best Veteran V1 CH. Shacoram's Legendary Lady CD RL1 CGN HIC TT a.k.a. Jez.

There is a story behind her name (Uzza). Petra (which is her father's name) was once actually a City in Jordan. Nowadays it is known as The Lost City of Stone. In ancient times the primary female God of Petra was Uzza. And, this is how Miss Lavender got her name :0) Uzza was our final "keeper" puppy out of her beautiful Momma Jez, and she has not disappointed!

Uzza scored very well on her temperament test and showed great working ability..........now if only she had a trainer with great ability! Anyhow, that's another story. Uzza has been herding instinct tested and "passed" with flying colors at 3.5 months of age!. She has begun her formal training and is showing tremendous promise for a bright future in the herding arenas. UPDATE: Due to an injury Uzza has been retired from herding.

At 5 months of age Uzza attended the USRC Sieger show in Calgary. Here is her critique by Judge Edgar Hellman:

"5 months old. Correct substance and bone strength. Good head with matching muzzle. Dark brown eyes. Correct depth and width of chest. Straight forearms. Very good top and bottom line. Good angulation. Well cared coarse coat. Brown markings. Docked tail. Free movement. Currently teething."

Uzza made her CKC debut in September, 2007. She picked up 2 points towards her Championship breeder/owner handled from the Bred By class.Uzza picked up another 2 pts. towards her Championship the weekend of Sept. 28th and is now sitting on 4. Thanks to Natasha Taphorn for handling her for me this weekend so that I could stay on her crazy brother!! Uzza went Best Puppy in Breed at the Working/Herding Specialty in Red Deer in October, 2007. She will be taking some time off from the show ring in 2008 to allow me the opportunity to have fun with some of her littermates. But, she will be busy learning all about obedience and rally during that time.

During her hiatus from the conformation rings Uzza and I have been playing in Obedience and Rally. I am proud to share that on April 18th, 2008 at 14 months of age Uzza earned her first Rally Novice (RN) leg with a score of 94 out of 100, breeder/owner handled, as always!! On May 30th, 2008 Uzza earned her CKC Canine Good Neighbour title at the NACA show at 15 months of age. Whatta good girl! At the AKC show in Calgary in August, 2008 Uzza earned the first leg towards her CD title with a 4th in Class placement. The next day she earned her 2nd Rally Novice leg and the day after that she earned her Temperament Test title! At the EKC show in Edmonton on September 13th & 14th, 2008 Uzza was back to work in Rally and Obedience. She finished her Rally Novice (RN) title on Saturday with a 3rd in class placement! On Sunday afternoon it was over to the obedience ring where she earned the 2nd leg to her Companion Dog (CD) title with a 2nd in class placement! She finished up her CD at the end of September making that her 4th titled earned since June.

2009 finds Uzza and I back in training and working towards being "trial ready" for her CDX and her advanced Rally titles this year. Well, as "trial ready" as one can get with the Crazy Princess! Uzza earned the 1st leg to her RA title in March, 2009. One week later she made her return to the conformation ring, after a rather L-O-N-G hiatus and she picked up her Canadian Major (2 pt. win) in Red Deer, AB going BOS & WB over the female Special! Uzza's next show weekend was the NACA show in Edmonton at the beginning of June. Uzza went WB & BOS over a BIS winning female Special for 3 points on the Saturday, and on the Monday she went WB & BOW for another 2 points and her Championship! Thanks to Natasha Taphorn for showing Uzza for me.

Uzza completed her RA title in September, 2009 with a 3rd and 4th in Class placement with respectable scores of 97 & 86.....the 86 would've been a 96 had she chosen to sit at all during the 1,2,3 steps forward exercise! Silly girl!  This title makes Uzza eligible for the Rottweiler Club of Canada Honour Roll for 2009!  We were pleased to find Uzza finished 2009 the #10 Rally Obedience Rottweiler in Canada!

Uzza made her first contribution to the future of our breeding program in March, 2010, when she whelped 8 "Little Thieves" for us sired by '10 NBISS '08 NBOSS Select 1 Ch. Bali Hai's Bet'In On Me CDX Am CD CGN HIC TT a.k.a. Jake.  She now has 2 CKC Champions to her credit, a 3rd pointed and on her way and a 4th youngster returning to the rings this Summer after taking some time off to mature!

In September, 2010, Uzza returned to the Rally Advanced ring for the first time in a year.  She qualified in both trials with scores of 85 & 98!

She also returned to the Sieger ring for the first time since she was a puppy and only six months after having a litter of 8 puppies and received a very nice critique and a rating of V4 from our Judge Lucy Ang!!

Uzza's Critique - V4 Rated:

"3 years, medium to large, well built, muscular with very good bone and substance, very good female head, dark brown eyes, medium sized ears, well carried, mouth pigment is mottled, very good chest development, very good topline and underline, slightly long in loin, very good front and rear angulation, very good coat with clear brown markings - somewhat large, natural movement with good reach and drive, complete scissor bite."

The week following the Sieger show we headed back into the Rally rings.  I am so proud of how well Uzza is working.  She had a fantastic weekend earning scores of 95, 93 and 95 with placements (3rd, 2nd & 4th respectively) all weekend!  Uzza is currently sitting #2 Rally Rottweiler in Canada 2010!

On November 5, 2010, Uzza added another title to her name when she passed her Therapy Dog International Certification making her a Registered Therapy Dog (RTD).  Once we get the health certificate completed and get the paperwork sent in she will be able to begin making therapy visits.  Uzza also competed in Rally in Red Deer and qualified both days she was entered with scores in the 90's.

For our last show of the year, I made the decision to throw caution to the wind and attempt Uzza's Rally Excellent title.  I felt we were working good as a team and there was a possibility it could be achieved.  We made the trek to Lethbridge November 19-21 for their shows.  Uzza did not disappoint and earned her RE title in 3 consecutive trials in one weekend with scores of 76 (my bad!), 97 & 99 with a 3rd in class!!

On March 5, 2011, we received confirmation that Uzza has been inducted in the Rottweiler Club of Canada Hall of Fame for 2010.  I am incredibly proud of this achievement and it means an awful lot to me personally.  Not only has Uzza has been trained and handled to all of her working & sieger titles by me, she was also bred by me!   She is my first working partner to achieve advanced level titles.  She is a great partner and I thoroughly enjoy competing with her!

FLASH:  At the BRCA shows at the end of March, 2011, Uzza and I earned the first two legs of her RAE title!  She was in the ribbons all four classes she was entered in!  She is so much FUN to work!  I absolutely enjoy our time in the ring together.  2 down, 8 to go.......

....AND at the Battleford show Uzza and I earn the first leg of her CDX with a High in Class!

After the NACA show in Edmonton in June Uzza now has her 2nd leg of her CDX with a 3rd in Class 193.5, and the 3rd leg of her RAE with two perfect scores of 100, a 3rd in Class in Advanced B and a High in Class in Excellent B!

In Grande Prairie in June, 2011 Uzza earned the 4th and 5th legs of her RAE with 3 more High In Class awards!!  She is on a roll :0)

As of August 1, 2011 Uzza now has her 8th RAE leg with a High in Class, a 2nd, two 3rds & a 4th placement.  We are closing in!

Leg #9 is in the books!!  Earned with a 3rd in Class placement in Excellent!

WOOHOO!  September 24th, 2011 - a day I will NEVER forget!  Uzza earned her CDX with another High in Class and minutes later (literally!) finished her RAE with a 3rd in Excellent and a 2nd in Advanced.  This girl is truly amazing   September 25th, 2011, she earned the first leg of her RAE2 with a 2nd in both Excellent and Advanced.

October 22 & 23, 2011 - Uzza earned RAE2 legs #2 & 3 in Camrose

November 5th, 2011 - Uzza adds RAE2 leg #4 to the books!
