We are now live on Facebook!

We are glad you stopped by & hope you enjoy your visit!

We have been involved with this unique and amazing breed since 2001. We enjoy training and competing with our dogs in conformation, Sieger Shows, obedience, herding & rally. We have been very blessed and fortunate to produce several Top Ten Conformation and Rally dogs.  Our breeding program came to fruition as the result of a deep love of the breed and a desire to see its' integrity maintained. We are lucky to have found some amazing homes for our puppies and strive to continue ongoing relationships with our puppy people.  We do not make our living off the backs of our dogs now, nor will we ever. Our breeding program is small and consists of only the best we have produced.  All of our breeding dogs are fully health tested before being bred as well as proven worthy of such by earning Championships and/or working titles.

Our dogs share our home with us. They are not kennel dogs, and it should be noted that they are a tad bit spoiled. It should also be noted that we wouldn't have it any other way!

Four Generations Under One Roof

Our dogs are our passion. They are members of our family first and foremost. Their "dog house" is our 1600 sq. ft. home. Their beds are our furniture, and truth be told...they probably eat better than most people!  Our dogs are fed a raw, 100% natural diet for their morning meal and a high quality, grain-free kibble in the evening.  Our puppies are weaned onto this diet as well, and our puppy homes are strongly encouraged to continue with this feeding module.

We believe that if you are going to breed Rottweilers (or any breed for that matter) that your involvement in your breed of choice should reach farther than simply putting puppies on the ground. To that end, we are proud to say that since getting involved with this breed in 2001 Marina has held the following volunteer positions within our National Breed Club: Breed Specific Legislation Co-Chairperson, website host of online auction to raise funds to fight BSL, Prairies Director and most recently, Newsletter Chairperson. Our family has also been involved in Rottweiler Rescue and to date have, of our own accord, rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed 12 VERY deserving Rottweilers.  Most recently I joined the initiative to raise funds for canine cancer research and participated in the 9th Annual Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer.  Jez and I were fortunate to raise over $2300.00 for this amazing and very worthwhile cause!  Thanks to all who supported us!!

We owe all of our kennel's past, present and future success to our beautiful foundation bitch, Jez. Without her none of this would have been possible. Jez is now retired from our breeding program, but please take a moment to visit her page to learn where we began.  We are thrilled to share that Jez has been named the #5 Top Producing Bitch by the Rottweiler Club of Canada!

Here is our 2011 Re-Cap:

In 2011 we were fortunate enough to see Ashemburg dogs earn the following:

In May, 2011 we learned Uzza would be inducted into the RCC Hall of Fame.

In June, 2011 both Bosco & Fly earned their CKC ChampionshipsBosco also earned his CGN in June.

We had 5 Ashemburg dogs earn their HIC certificates in 2011.  Kudos to Aero, Bosco, Vandal, Zeppy & Fly!

In August, 2011 Fly earned her CGN.

In September, 2011 Uzza earned her CDX and her RAE on the SAME DAYRuby also earned the first leg of her PCD title in September with her owner, Brenda!

Magnum and his owner, Brenda, earned Magnum's St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Certification!  This was a wonderful surprise for us as we did not know they were even testing!!

In November, 2011 Fly earned her CD in one weekend of trials.  Our Co-Owned girl, Ruca, earned her CARO RN and CGN in the same day with her owner Tasha on the end of her lead.  She also earned the first leg of her CKC RN the first weekend in December, 2011.

Hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone.  If I have, please forgive me and shoot me an email to remind me!

We are very much looking forward to what 2012 holds in store for not only our personal dogs, but dogs owned by our wonderful Extended Family members as well.  Stayed tuned for LOTS of updates as 2012 unfolds.

A Little Brag for My Girl

December 20, 2011

The final trials of 2011 are completed and final standings have been tallied on Canuckdogs.  I am incredibly proud to share that Uzza finished 2011 the #1 Rally Rottweiler in Canada....a position she's maintained for several months.  She also finished #3 Working and #16 All Breeds (Rally) in the country.  On the obedience side of things, she landed in a 3 way tie for #11 Obedience Rottweiler.

What a year we shared!  There are so many great memories, great moments.  I will never forget any of them.  The bond that has formed over the thousands of miles travelled for training and trialling is an incredible one that runs very deep.  It is a privilege to share my life with Uzza and to be able to compete with her.  She is an absolute joy to train and trial, and is the best friend a girl could ever hope for, the best travelling buddy and the best partner.  I cannot wait to make our return sometime in 2012.

Yay Tasha & Ruca!

December 2, 2011

Ruca and her owner, Tasha, tried CKC Rally for the first time on December 2, 2011, and earned Ruca's 1st CKC Rally Novice leg with a 4th place!  Way to go girls!  Ruca is co-owned by Ashemburg & we are VERY proud of this team!

More Titles!!

November 26, 2011

Today in Calgary our co-owned girl, Ruca, and her Mom, Tasha, attended their first trial as a team.  They did a marvelous job earning Ruca's CARO Rally Novice title in one day with two placements on the way!  They also competed in Team Rally and received a 3rd place.  Finally, to round out the day they also picked up Ruca's CGN title!  WOWZERS!  What a fantastic day for this team.  We are SO proud of them both!  Way to go girls!   Ruca is now known as VP2 Rated Ashemburg's Robbin' The Hood CRN CGN HIC.

New CD!!

November 19 & 20, 2011

Fly & I made the journey to Lethbridge for their annual trials.  Fly did a great job and earned her CD (Companion Dog) title in fine style in three straight trials - two on Saturday and one Sunday - with three High in Class awards.  Admittedly, she was the only entry in two of the three trials, but we'll take the ribbons regardless!  Fly is the first working titled kid for her Mom, Uzza, and is now officially VP 1 Rated CH. Ashemburg's Fly By Night Thief CD CGN HIC.  Baby Fly is just 20 months of age!!

Nice way to finish our year off!
