We are glad you stopped by & hope you enjoy your visit!

We have been involved with this unique and amazing breed since 2001. We enjoy training and competing with our dogs in conformation, Sieger Shows, obedience, herding & rally. We have been very blessed and fortunate to produce several Top Ten Conformation and Rally dogs.  Our breeding program came to fruition as the result of a deep love of the breed and a desire to see its' integrity maintained. We are lucky to have found some amazing homes for our puppies and strive to continue ongoing relationships with our puppy people.  We do not make our living off the backs of our dogs now, nor will we ever. Our breeding program is small and consists of only the best we have produced.  All of our breeding dogs are fully health tested before being bred as well as proven worthy of such by earning Championships and/or working titles.

Our dogs share our home with us. They are not kennel dogs, and it should be noted that they are a tad bit spoiled. It should also be noted that we wouldn't have it any other way!

Our dogs are our passion. They are members of our family first and foremost. Their "dog house" is our 1600 sq. ft. home. Their beds are our furniture, and truth be told...they probably eat better than most people!  Our dogs are fed a raw, 100% natural diet for their morning meal and a high quality, grain-free kibble in the evening.  Our puppies are weaned onto this diet as well, and our puppy homes are strongly encouraged to continue with this feeding module.

We believe that if you are going to breed Rottweilers (or any breed for that matter) that your involvement in your breed of choice should reach farther than simply putting puppies on the ground. To that end, we are proud to say that since getting involved with this breed in 2001 Marina has held the following volunteer positions within our National Breed Club: Breed Specific Legislation Co-Chairperson, website host of online auction to raise funds to fight BSL, Prairies Director,  Newsletter Chairperson, and currently Vice President. Our family has also been involved in Rottweiler Rescue and to date have, of our own accord, rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed 12 VERY deserving Rottweilers.

Most recently I joined the initiative to raise funds for canine cancer research and participated in the 9th & 10th Annual Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer.  To date, through the very generous donations of our supporters, we have been fortunate to raise almost $5,500.00 for this amazing and very worthwhile cause!  Thanks to all who have supported us!!

We owe all of our kennel's past, present and future success to our beautiful foundation bitch, Jez. Without her none of this would have been possible. Jez is now retired from our breeding program, but please take a moment to visit her page to learn where we began.  We are thrilled to share that Jez has been named the #5 Top Producing Bitch by the Rottweiler Club of Canada!

Emma, Uzza and I headed down to Calgary to join in the 10th Annual Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer.  This year's walk was a HUGE success once again.  With only 33 pledged walkers we were able to raise over $32,000.00!!!  WOW!!  100% of the funds raised goes directly to the University of Guelph Pet Trust Fund and aids in canine cancer research.

Thank you so much to every single person who sponsored my participation in this walk this year.  It was a beautiful day, and it is a great feeling to be part of something that affects so many owners and their beloved companions each year.  Together we WILL make a difference!  I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations.  I am just the body that delivers the funds to the walk - you guys are the real heros!  I am proud to say that because of each of you I was honoured to receive the gift bag for highest amount of pledges received for 2012!!

Hub City Show Report

May 5th, 2012

Ruby and her owner Brenda earned the first leg of Ruby's CD title today at the Hub City show in Saskatoon, SK.  Way to go ladies!  We are all very proud of what the two of you are accomplishing together.  Ruby is from our co-bred (Carol Gardon) Rockstar litter out of ET and Shiver.

New Title for Fly

April 6, 2012

On our way to Calgary for a seminar on the Easter weekend, we stopped by the Red Deer show on Friday afternoon.  Fly completed her Rally Novice title with a score of 95 and 2nd place in the Novice B class.  Fly is now officially known as Ch. Ashemburg's Fly By Night Thief CD RN CGN HIC.  Her Momma, Uzza, picked up her 7th RAE2 leg the same day.  We then continued on to Calgary to take in the two day Janice Gunn obedience seminar.  It was FANTASTIC!  Both girls did some nice work and I learned all sorts of new training tricks!

Camrose Show Update

March 24 & 25, 2012

I loaded up the Mother-Daughter duo (a.k.a. Uzza & Fly) and headed to Camrose for their Rally trials.  Fly did a beautiful job of both her runs scoring a 93 and 3rd place on Saturday, and a 97 and 2nd place on Sunday.  Uzza earned her 5th and 6th RAE2 legs  qualifying in all her runs with scores from 86-92.  She earned 3rd place in both her Advanced runs.

A fun weekend all around!  It was great to see my show friends again, and special Thanks to Tom & Brenda for coming out to cheer Uzza on Saturday afternoon

Pack of Thieves Turn Two

March 16, 2012

My little pack of Thieves celebrated their 2nd birthdays on March 16, 2012.  Our Thief litter was the last litter that was born in our home, and our only litter out of my bestest girl, Uzza (Sired by Jake).  I cannot believe they are already two years old!  BIG Happy Birthday wishes to the whole pack - Izzy, Kloe, Vandal, Zeppelin, Mason, Ruca, Lola and our very own Fly girl!

Our First Show for 2012

March 3 & 4, 2012

I made my first road trip of 2012 and headed to Saskatoon to spend the weekend with Brenda & Ruby.  We travelled each day from their place north to Prince Albert SK for their annual shows.  The weather Gods were fairly kind to us considering the time of year and except for the last 1.5 hours of my drive home, the roads were great!

Her first time back in the show ring since September of last year, Ruby showed very well for me both days.  She was Reserve Winners Bitch both shows on Saturday and Best of Winners both shows on Sunday.  These wins land her on 7 points, and we are closing in on that Championship title for the front of her name!

Once again I must thank Ruby's wonderful owner, Brenda McConnery, for doing such a fantastic job raising Ruby and for all the work she's put into her training.  They are certainly making Shiver, ET, Carol, Linda and myself incredibly proud!

Proud Breeder Brag!

February 20, 2012

Carol Gardon and I are so very proud to share that this weekend in Saskatoon, SK, Ruby and her owner Brenda earned not one, not two, but THREE titles!  Ruby is just 19 months old and this weekend earned her Canine Good Neighbour, her Pre-Novice obedience and her Rally Novice titles.  Ruby is Brenda's first competition dog and we just couldn't be more proud of the two of them!  Ruby is now officially known as CKC Ptd. (5) Ashemburg's Ruby Baby PCD RN CGN.  Ruby is from our Rockstar litter by ET and Shiver.  Way to go girls!
