Ashemburg Reg'd. Rottweilers

About Us

We've been involved with this amazing breed since 2000.  To date we have produced 19 Canadian Champions, multiple working titled dogs, multiple Canine Good Neighbors and many wonderful, loving family pets.  Our dogs are titled and health tested to prove worthy prior to ever being considered for breeding.

In addition to occasionally breeding a litter of puppies, we are also involved in rescue of this breed.  We have rehabilitated and re-homed 12 very deserving Rottweilers over the past 18 years.  Our last rescue, Chance, being the most remarkable story of them all.  Marina has also served on the Board of Directors for the Rottweiler Club of Canada in a variety of capacities over the course of our involvement in the breed.  Finally, with the help of our amazing support network we were able to raise over $10,000.00 in donations over 3 years for canine cancer research with our participation in the Smiling Blue Skies Walk to End Canine Cancer.

In 2019 Marina will embark on her journey as a scent detection judge with both the CKC and the SDDA organizations.  Very much looking forward to this new chapter in our story!

We pride ourselves on our dedication to the betterment of the breed and to preserving the working heritage of the Rottweiler from years gone by.  We actively participate with our dogs in rally, obedience, barn hunt, scent detection, herding, carting, conformation and Sieger shows.  Our breeding philosophy has always been to produce dogs that are correct and pretty enough to be competitive in the show rings, yet with the brains and drive to compete in a variety of working venues.  The motto of Ashemburg, from the inception of our breeding, has always been "Sound in Mind, Strong in Body, Pure of Heart".
